a multi-dimensional spring clean

If our stories have been all about our emotions, our focus now shifts to new possibilities.

Jupiter has been wallowing around in the Solar Plexus for a while, making our emotions seem like a big deal. On 1st May he shifts into the G Centre, to the Gate of Innocence (25). On 11 May Jupiter shifts out of Pisces and into Aries. We are playing with endings and beginnings, expect the unexpected! But in the end Jupiter is a planet who brings new opportunities. We just have to know how to look for them.

Thunder and Heaven

Each channel in your Human Design chart has 4 elements. This one - the Channel of Initiation - is made up of gate 25 and gate 51 and carries the elements of thunder and heaven. Why only 2 elements? Because thunder appears 3 times!

Thunder is energy moving, arousing. Heaven is creative action, dynamic.

In ancient China thunder and lightning represented spring. Storms brought the unexpected, but they also woke everyone up to the new green shoots.. It was time to come outside and breathe the fresh spring air!

There are two powerful messages in gate 25. The first is that we shouldn’t be ‘going with the flow’. I know, all that New Age wisdom! But it doesn’t work anymore.

We should always have a direction, even if we don’t have much clarity about what it is. Our imagination is being called into play. Our capacity for strategic brilliance is awakening. This week's question is - Who are you becoming and how can you face in the correct direction to align with that new version of yourself? Anything that doesn't align will feel dense, almost unbearable.

The second message from gate 25 is that things happen, big important things that have an impact on our lives not because we caused those things, but because we are part of something bigger than ourselves.

We shouldn’t blame ourselves if things go wrong. There are large energies moving through humanity and sometimes things don’t always make sense, or turn out how we’d hoped they would. Let’s go back to the first idea - we should always turn up as our truthful selves, facing aligned with the direction of truth. Our response is more important than the event itself.

The emergent strategy of the Gate of Innocent is recognising what is NOT yours and disengaging from it. Jupiter brings trust and faith to this process.

Jupiter will be in gate 25 until January 2023.

A brilliant new version of you

When life changes, we must change as well. Hidden possibilities become visible. Our imagination is captured by the potential of unexpected encounters and events. New synergies arise as we release our grip on structures we were using to hold us stable. They are no longer reliable and are only holding us back now.

Who are you in this new space? What new brilliant version of you is emerging? How are new people in your life showing you aspects of yourself rearranged into new patterns?

Saturn will be in gate 30 until early July 2022. This is the Gate of Illumination and Clarity.

Saturn is always working to release rigidity, old worn out beliefs and behaviours. In this gate he is asking you to notice things that weren’t visible before. There are positive energies sitting latent in your circumstances this month. Be adaptive, nurture your connections with others who share your intentions and values.

Metis will be in adjoining gate 41. Metis balances the linear rationality of the patriarchy with the wisdom of the ancient feminine. Metis has been there all along, but for five thousand years we’ve been practising not seeing her. Our lives have been about the father as creator and as protector and provider. But now the father is worn out, exhausted and has no answers for the questions that plague us.

It’s time to make adjustments to your life so that your rich inner world can flourish, giving you time and space to synergise personal wisdom from experience. You will probably need a major multi-dimensional spring clean.

Life is participation

Mercury is in gate 20 right now and will stay there until 23 May. I always want to check in with Mercury when he goes retrograde, to see where his focus is, where he wants us to pay particular attention.

Gate 20 is about being present, taking in as much as possible from each moment. As we do, we notice we are participating. We are connected, a part of something profound. We notice the hidden realities and possibilities latent in the world.

There is a bigger picture there than just Mercury going retrograde. This movement is away from the limitations of culture and towards an alignment with universal laws. This is an unmediated experience of life, a freeing up of our expectations about our place in the ‘scheme of things’. And an opportunity to get out of our heads and into a more experiential process of living.

Both Narcissus (in gate 57) and Echo (in gate 10) are turning up to play with Mercury this week. They represent the places where you missed out on just being in love with yourself, doing what you love to do, listening to your own heart. Echo taps into Jupiter and Uranus in the G Centre.

The G Centre is your love-life geometry, where you get to discover what purpose your love is meant to serve in the world.

Let’s take a moment to consider that emotions and love are being processed by different energy centres within our bodies. Your Solar Plexus Centre is all about the feels, and your G Centre is unconditional love. Which indicates that they are not made of the same stuff at our everyday density of experience. Echo is drawing your attention to the power of being yourself, not waiting for others to reflect back to you who they think you are.
